Learn how trauma-aware yoga practices can be used with groups and individuals to alleviate symptoms of PTSD, stress, anxiety, addiction, trauma and other mental and emotional imbalances. Practical sessions of accessible, suitable yoga practices will combine with theory sessions on the science and psychology of trauma-sensitive yoga and the latest findings in neuroscience and medical studies.

What is Trauma-Sensitive Yoga?
Trauma-sensitive yoga is a way of offering yoga to those living with the effects of trauma. Trauma survivors often live with a range of symptoms that cause heightened and sometimes very distressing feelings in the body to arise. Strong sensations and emotions arise and can be extremely hard to regulate. The body often ceases to be a safe place to be. Trauma-sensitive yoga can greatly alleviate and soothe the symptoms associated with trauma and psychological and emotional distress. It is a gentle, safe, non-invasive approach to create feelings of safety, trust and emotional regulation.

The Online training days will be live on zoom, and will run from 8am to 5pm.
